Reflecting upon the teacher-student relationship

Square

Regarding Friere’s analysis upon the commonly recognized student teacher relationships, I find it rather eye-opening; he seems to describe it as passive and indifferent, as in the teacher just gives out the information, and the student blindly receives it, without question. That, I believe, is the nutshell description of it. In regards to my own life, I feel that I, too, have gotten this same relationship with a teacher, how I just just feel they are people that do little beyond explaining the topic at hand and distributing busy work onto the student. I find Friere’s opinion of this relationship very cynical, but true.
