If it\u2019s supposed to mean that it\u2019s impowering women, then how come those same women are \u201crestrained by the very structures of power through which emancipation is sought\u201d(Butler 5).  Isn\u2019t that counterproductive to the goal that feminism is trying to accomplish?  If feminism is meant to strengthen women, then how come it still tries to limit women\u2019s political placement in society?  What are we trying to teach the young girls of our society?
